I am so thrilled to have you here! Welcome to my NEW website!! This has been a long time coming and a much needed update for my business. Special shout out to my good friends Matt and Katie Belferman of Hitch Creative for helping make my personality, ideas and portfolio come to life through this virtual window into what I do!
For those of you who may not know me all that well, here’s a little about me…
I am Talia, a Pittsburgh, PA native. Born and raised in this awesome city of Steel! I am a Pennsylvania girl but I am totally open to travelling! I began my creative adventure and love of photography as a young child sketching images of wedding cakes, refinishing my mom’s furniture, drawing looney tunes and spending HOURS looking through old family photos. It was such a thrill for me. I just loved going back in time in an instant! That creativity evolved into a passion. I studied Interior Design at IUP and earned my degree there. Working in the interior design field for 3 years I decided to take a leap of faith into event and floral design after planning my own wedding. I loved all the emotion and all the potential design elements these special days encompassed! I really enjoyed doing that but soon I became pregnant with our first child, our daughter Brooklyn.
Having a child and watching her grow so quickly, and change even faster, made me realize how precious capturing these moments truly was! It was then with a simple point and shoot camera, a white sheet, and my sweet girl that I set up my very first “photo shoot”! It was not the prettiest thing technically speaking ha! However, it was our only option as funds were tight. I realized in those moments that I had a fire in my heart for photography and capturing real life moments and wanted to learn more and become BETTER! That was in 2009, I got my first DSLR camera in 2011 and started offering shoots for anyone who would let me practice on them! Soon my skill evolved and so did the demand for it! I decided to start a big girl business and have been learning and growing ever since! I now offer Wedding, Maternity, Newborn, Family, Lifestyle, and Senior Portrait Photography! I love what I do so, SO much! I feel so blessed and thankful that God brought me down this path and lit the fire in me to be able to do something that I love professionally!
I’ve been married for almost 10 years to my best friend. I am a mommy to two awesome little kids. Our daughter, Brooklyn, is 6 and our son, Austin is 2. They’re my priority in life, and my motivation for everything I do. I’ll be sharing more about myself, them and of course my work! So let’s keep connected!! I look forward to sharing lots with you here on my journal in the days and years to come!
